...........culptor, Thérèse Theodas was born in Ayr, Scotland in 1943. Her father was French and her English mother is a talented painter.

Thérèse was educated in Sussex and later at Winkfield where she was influenced by Constance Spry and Rosemary Hume. At 16, she spent a year in Paris studying life drawing. After 28 years running a country house hotel in Devon with her husband, Thérèse now lives and works from home in Farway, Devon, where she paints, sculpts and overlooks the reproduction of the work at her on-site foundry and production unit.

Thérèse’s bronze sculptures are modelled from life. The original figure is created in clay which is subsequently passed on to the foundry where a mould is made from which strictly limited editions are hand cast in both bronze resin and hot cast bronze using the ‘lost wax’ technique.

Thérèse’s work is exhibited extensively in selected hotels and galleries around the country. She is married to John Boswell and has four sons.
